Physical Therapy uses movement and manual techniques to heal and rehabilitate the body after an injury/surgery or for wellness/maintenance of current health. Physical therapy can also help to prevent surgery, to improve function and performance, and to enhance overall well-being.
Acute and chronic pain/injury can cause excessive stress to the mind and body. This stress impacts an individual’s nervous system. To promote optimal healing and recovery, the nervous system must also be treated. With individual 1:1 attention and a calm/quiet setting, the nervous system can begin to unwind and relax. Treatment plans will target the whole body and mind, which includes the nervous system.
By patiently listening to clients to fully understand their expectations, I create an individualized treatment plan to meet their goals. Clients have direct access to my cell phone and email for questions and scheduling.
1:1 private treatment provides:
Time and attention to teach clients proper movement patterns to optimize muscle recruitment and healing
Empowerment to clients to treat themselves with specific exercises and self myofascial release techniques
Hands-on treatment techniques to target restricted areas that are impacting function and contributing to pain
Continual reassessment throughout the session to ensure progress in working towards client goals
Quiet and calm setting to promote relaxation to the nervous system
